Pendrell Hall is a beautiful venue and suited Sophie & Ben's wedding day perfectly.

Sophie started her day in the cottage just next to Pendrell Hall where she and the bridesmaids stayed the night before. When the venue was open, they headed over to the dressing room to continue with hair and makeup. I was already at the venue capturing setup when the girls arrived in the dressing room. An hour or so later, Ben and the groomsmen arrived and headed to the gents dressing room to finish up getting ready. It's great that Pendrell Hall have both dressing rooms as it means I can shoot across the landing to capture everyone getting ready. Once hair and makeup were finished up, we headed into the bridal suite to capture finishing touches, reveals and some beautiful portraits of Sophie.

Pendrell Hall have several rooms you can use for your ceremony and even a space outside. Sophie & Ben chose inside as the wedding was at the end of September and the weather was unpredictable. This suited them perfectly as they had around 50 guests which filled the room and made the ceremony much more intimate. After this, we headed outside for confetti, and then guests and family used the inside rooms and garden for drinks. During this time we managed to shoot family portraits just outside on the steps, which meant when family weren't needed for a photo, they could head back inside to keep warm, which was a bonus! From here we wondered around the grounds for 15 minutes just as the sun was setting to capture some stunning portraits, before heading into the wedding breakfast.

As the room was being turned around for the evening party, we headed outside with all the guests for a sparkler photo and then a few more evening portraits in the grounds.

The evening then started off with Sophie and her dad dancing, with Ben taking over half way through, before the rest of the guests joined in!
