SALLY & CHRISTAN / TUNNELS BEACHES

I photographed 70 weddings in 2023, but can easily say these guys threw the biggest celebration of them all!

I had always wanted to shoot at Tunnels Beaches after visiting the venue and private beach on holiday several years ago, so when these guys booked in I really couldn't wait! They hired out the accomadation at the venue which is genuinely unbelievable. I couldn't think of a better place to get ready! During the morning I was able to capture everyone getting ready with some careful planning and knowing where people were at certain times. Also being so close to the venue meant being able to capture the setup too.

The ceremony was outside, overlooking the private beach with the sun shining down on everyone. So many family and friends were there to celebrate too which made the whole day so much more special for them.

Everyone headed straight to the beach after the ceremony, because why wouldn't you? I shot all group photos while we were there, and then guests headed back up to the venue for drinks and canapés when they were finished taking in the views. Drinks were flowing and the sun was shining so I shot candid photos of all guests enjoying the day. As this was a summer wedding and the weather wasn't due to change, we decided on a couples shoot during golden hour when the sun was a little softer. This also meant that Sally and Christian could spend more time with their guests too!

Everyone then headed upstairs for food, which was a BBQ, and I can confirm this is some of the best food at a wedding venue I have ever had!

Speeches then followed as the sun was coming down over the sea.

After this we headed to the beach as previously planned. The sun was setting as we walked across the sand and over the rocks, and captured some amazing portraits. Evening guest then started arriving so we went back up to the venue to get set up for first dance. First dance was outside, where Sally and Christian had their ceremony earlier in the day. The sun was still setting which made this one of the most beautiful spots for the first dance I have ever seen! As the party was starting, the bridal party headed to the beach to watch the sunset, and while we were here we captured a few more portraits and group shots, which are pretty special.

A day I don't think anyone in attendance will ever forget.
